On 24 November 2023, we received the sad news that Enkelet (Ledi) Gjoka, who worked for us as an IT technician for six years, passed away unexpectedly and under natural circumstances the day before.

Ledi was a special person. His gentleness and expertise made him the perfect problem solver, both for teachers and students, also during the difficult times of the Covid-19 pandemic. Ledi had only left the Swiss School in Rome a few weeks ago to take up a job as an engineer in Germany. He was full of dreams and enthusiasm for his new chapter in life.

At a commemoration ceremony on 24 November 2023, every class in the secondary school and high school lit a candle for Ledi, and Prorektor Oliver Gywat read out a message to the school community from Ledi’s former roommate. We will keep Ledi in our hearts and send our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.
