On Thursday, 11 April 2024, the President of the Council of our patronage canton St. Gallen, Stefan Kölliker, visited us as part of his farewell tour as a member of the cantonal government. Our Director Friedrich Lingenhag and our Chairman of the Board Riccardo Coletta welcomed him to the Malpighi campus.
The primary school classes contributed with songs, poems and other performances in the school garden to make the ceremony impressive.
In his speech, the director emphasised the long-standing cooperation with the Canton of Patronage and its fundamental support for the school. During his 16 years in office, Director Kölliker was an extremely important person who gave the school stability and prosperity. The Swiss School considers itself the southernmost high school and, why not, the southernmost cantonal school in St. Gallen. On behalf of everyone at the Swiss School involved, the Director expressed his heartfelt thanks for all the years of excellent cooperation.
