Shakespeare Comes to Life: 3rd Liceo Enjoys Hamlet in English
On October 7th, our 3rd Liceo students had the opportunity to experience the magic of Shakespeare live on stage! They attended a performance of Hamlet in English by the Bedouin Shakespeare Company of London.
Having explored the plot and some of the play’s most important passages in class beforehand, the students were well prepared to follow the story and appreciate Shakespeare’s language. The 90-minute adaptation was engaging, lively and easy to follow, bringing one of the world’s most famous tragedies to life. A particular highlight was the question-and-answer session with the actors after the performance, which gave students the chance to satisfy their curiosity, ask questions and discover more about the play and the actors’ work.
The students really enjoyed this opportunity to interact directly with the performers, making the excursion not only entertaining but also a meaningful extension of their classroom learning. A wonderful way to bring Shakespeare to life beyond the pages of a book!
